Practical Pistol – Level 1 is a two-hour private beginner pistol class covering firearm safety and the fundamentals of safe, effective pistol shooting.
Topics Covered
• Safety: Learn and apply the four firearm safety rules.
• Basic Pistol Knowledge: Understand the essential parts and functions of a pistol, including loading, unloading, and basic maintenance.
• Fundamentals: Learn proper grip, stance, sight picture, and trigger control.
• Q&A: Time for questions and clarification.
Participants must be at least 21 years old, except for participants with a valid California hunting license, military personnel, or participants accompanied by a parent or legal guardian.
What to Bring
• Eye and ear protection (provided if needed)
• Closed-toe shoes and weather-appropriate clothing
• Personal pistol and ammunition (optional; rentals are available)

Weekend session, including the mandatory WCGC fee: 1 shooter — $320; 2 shooters — $440; 3 shooters — $560; 4 shooters — $680. The WCGC portion is $20 per shooter and is collected separately before the session.
